HULT Scavenger Hunt app for iPhone and iPad

The HULT Scavenger Hunt is an exciting teambuilding application and hosts an interactive game board that highlights specific landmarks around the San Francisco Bay Area. It targets students enrolled at the HULT International Business School and allows them to engage with and have fun getting to know their new classmates as well as their new surroundings.

To participate in the scavenger hunt, which is a part of the HULT orientation program, the teams are grouped and asked to use the interactive map world to identify set areas of interest around the city and engage with them.

These, Quest locations, are indicated with pins on the map and have a radius surrounding the origin that defines the zone for interaction and Quest completion to take place.

Acting together, the teams navigate to these Quest locations and are asked to detect, using the recognition viewer, a piece of HULT IBS branded material in order to unlock and collect points.

The Quest zone becomes active only once a team has entered the defined Quest location and virtual points are only awarded once they have successfully detected the HULT logo while inside the Quest zone.

The points are tracked on a live leaderboard. The leaderboard is accessible to all teams and at all times, allowing teams to track the progress of their fellow classmates and see which of the Quest locations have been successfully completed or not.

The platform tracks individuals and teams and dynamically indicates, in real time, how far each participant is from the origin of the Quest to be completed.

The virtual game world allows students at HULT International Business School the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new teammates, classmates and have fun while exploring life around downtown San Francisco.
